EXPLANATION OF SEARCHES
| SSN SEARCH | To verify the validity of the number, the origin, ownership, and the year of issue. |
| DMV | Available in most states. Of obvious importance for any applicant who will be driving on company business,
because your liability risk is so high. Since driving records can show arrests and convictions for driving
while intoxicated, or a history of reckless driving, you may be able to avoid applicants with substance
abuse and/or behavior problems. |
| CREDIT RPT. | Shows an applicant's debt load, their payment history, and other information on civil actions, such as,
judgements, liens, or bankruptcies. Proper interpretation of a credit report can help you form a picture of the applicant's
sense of responsibility and reliability, possibly avoiding future personnel problems caused by an unmanageable debt load. |
| CRIMINAL RECORDS | Vital for any of your employees who will be working with money, drugs, or valuable merchandise. ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL for employees charged
with SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES. The SSN SEARCH mentioned earlier will help determine which area of the country the criminal search will be
conducted. Based on our experience we will decide whether to direct the investigation through the county or the
state repositories. These reports require experienced personnel to interpret the data retrieved. |
| EDUCATION SEARCH | If the position requires a degree or special training, we highly recommend verification. Many people will list a college or university they attended without graduating. Some will claim a
degree other than the one they earned. Still others will completely falsify their history. ESS will verify that the subject actually attended the college in question, how long they attended, and what
degree they earned. |
| PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENT | Completes the puzzle. Basically we are looking for unexplained
gaps in employment by verifying the dates of employment, eligibility for re-hire, and positions held while employed. Also
reasons for leaving, if available. It should be noted that in the majority of cases employment gaps are easily explained and should not pose a problem in determining eligibility for hire -
while others require in depth analysis to clear up what could be a major obstacle. |
| RESIDENCE VERIFICATION | Provides verification of current address, phone number, and also
provides the same information for five neighbors. There are four variations to this report. |
| PROF. LICENSE SEARCH | Shows applicant's license is accurate, provides the current status and rating. |
| FAA & FCC VERIFICATION | Shows applicant's license is accurate, provides the current status and rating. |
